Trout Lily print

Image of Trout Lily print

The Trout Lily is one of the first wildflowers to spring up in the woods in central Indiana, often before the trees leaf out. It’s a beautiful, fragile little plant. A nodding, solitary flower rises above paired leaves which are mottled, and give the species it’s common name - some think they resemble brook trout.
