“Life by the Drop” - Cicada print

Image of “Life by the Drop” - Cicada print

Did you know that cicadas do not have mouths? Instead, they have a long, straw-like tube that helps them drink. As adults, they feed on sap from trees and woody shrubs - truly living "life by the drop."

The title for this piece comes from the song of the same name, penned by Doyle Bramhall, and made popular by Stevie Ray Vaughan, who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash 35 years ago this week.
